Adding a contemporary touch to classic video production expertise

The team at Corporate Video Productions in Melbourne has been making first-class videos since 1985, long before “media” became fashionable. Our founder, David Phelps, opened the doors following a glittering thirty year career in communications, working for global production houses such as the BBC and Sky News in England, and Australian icons like Channel 9 and Channel 10.

Vlad Bunyevich – Cameraman

Vlad’s career has spanned over 45 years in the film and television industry, starting way back in 1969  with Channel 7 Melbourne.

Vlad’s long and varied work has ranged from TVC’s, Corporate Videos to News and Current Affairs to Music Clips.

So many highlights and so little space! Some include filming around Australia and globally  – for the BBC to cover international rugby, World series cricket, foreign correspondents and Royal Tours.  A year long assignment in Europe shooting Festivals of Europe, “A World of Festivals” for ABC America, a 2 hour documentary  for the 7 network on “Australian Music To The World”,  to the recent ABC series  “A Quiet Word” with Tony Martin and receiving a Gold Award for Cinematography for a short film for Penfolds Wines.

Vlad’s old school knowledge and charm are always a delight to the team and clients.

Ewen Allport – Cameraman

Ewen has been in the media industry for almost 20 years (time flies when you are having fun) – mainly in Australia but also some work overseas.

He started his career at Lemac Rentals, working in the rentals department and as a camera assistant to the late John Bowring. Then he moved to Network Ten as a cameraman, editor and sound recordist for over 8 years, before commencing freelance adventures in 2012.

Ewen has worked on a huge array of productions from ABC news to TVCs and corporate videos and many lifestyle programs and TV series – covering all the Australian TV networks.

Ewen’s can do attitude and innovative ideas bring a great edge to CVP – so long as he is kept fuelled by coffee.

Jess Perry – Editor

Jess has been working in the Austalian Film and Television industry as an Editor since 2003.

Her work over the years has been great and varied from corporate videos, music clips, short-films and TVCs at companies such as Chocolate Studios and Method Studios (formerly mrppp). Although editing can be an invisible art, it is integral to the story telling process. It’s all about the frames, there is nothing more Jess enjoys than piecing a story together. She has most recently worked on the latest season of “Offspring” and last year worked on “Nowhere Boys” for the ABC.

Jess’s attention to detail and bubbly personality add a real value to the CVP studio – as does her Earl Grey tea cake!

Anna Wessel – Scriptwriter

Anna is a copywriter with over ten years’ experience. She specialises in snappy video and voiceover scripts, with a knack for writing strong and engaging content for the digital realm.

Anna is a creative thinker, writer and speaker, who dabbles in stand-up comedy and also writes scripts for ABC 3 children’s TV. She has worked as a crew member for ABC TV, on shows such as Spicks and Specks, Q&A and Mad As Hell.
